Support from pharmaceutical partners helps make this event possible. As such, it is important that we comply with the various codes and directives relating to the manufacturing, distribution, and marketing of pharmaceutical products. The European Union directive (2001/83/EC, article 86) provides guidelines relating to medicinal products for human use. Within these guidelines is the restriction that access to pharmaceutical product marketing activities (exhibit booths, satellite symposia, etc.) must be limited to only those participants licensed/authorised to prescribe or supply medicinal products.

All participants, with the exception of the exhibitors are asked the following question during registration:

Are you licensed/authorised to prescribe or supply prescription only medicines?

Yes: You may access the prescriber’s only exhibition area.
No: Please do not access the prescriber’s only exhibition area.

ESID will assign different colour lanyards to prescribers and non-prescribers for the 2019 Meeting.
White lanyard: Prescribers
Purple lanyard: Non Prescribers

All registered meeting delegates will have access to the exhibition and poster area in Grand Hall 1.
All pharmaceutical company exhibit booths will be located in Grand Hall 2. For the duration of ESID 2019, this area of the exhibition will be restricted to Prescribers only.

• Please ensure that the name of the Meeting and of the participant is stated on the bank transfer.
• Bank charges are the responsibility of the participant and should be paid at source in addition to the registration fees.
• Registration will only be valid upon receipt of the full payment by the registration department according to the deadline indicated. An email confirming registration will only be sent after receipt of the required fees.
• Outstanding payments will be collected on-site and charged the on-site rate. A copy of the bank transfer (or other proof of payment) will be required in the event that registration fees were not credited to the Meeting account on time.


All cancellations must be emailed prior to the below deadlines:
• Cancellations received up and including Thursday, July 4, 2019 – full refund.
• Cancellations received from Friday, July 5 until Thursday, August 29, 2019 -50% will be refunded.
• After Friday, August 30, 2019 – no refund will be made.

*Note, in case of cancellation at any stage, bank transfer handling fee (30 EUR) will not be refunded – applicable to bank transfer payments only.
